Why We’re Here

Trail systems across Oregon are under real pressure.

Staffing has been reduced. Funding timelines are unpredictable. And land managers are being asked to do more with fewer people and fewer hours — all while trail use continues to grow.

1H Foundation was formed in response to that reality.

Our goal is not to replace existing organizations or duplicate work already happening on the ground. It’s to support stewardship efforts by helping fill gaps, increase capacity, and make sure critical trail work doesn’t fall through the cracks.

Right now, that means building the foundation carefully — setting up systems, partnerships, and processes that allow us to act responsibly and transparently when work needs to happen.

As projects come together, we’ll share updates here. When there are work days, partnerships, or opportunities to help, we’ll post them clearly and directly.
